Radish is an important vegetable, both its leaves and root are used. It grows quickly, and sowed with other vegetables as subordinate vegetable.

  Soil and Climate

Radish can be grown in any type of soil, but the best result can be obtained in sandy soil. In plains of northern India, it is produced as post crop in summer and vegetable in winter.
