Banks have played an important role in organizing the financial needs of people residing in the urban sector. Unfortunately the role of banks has not evolved to a similar extent in the rural sector. Small and Marginal farmers are going to the moneylenders for all financial support, as a result they end up paying more interest on the loans taken. Information and database sharing, access to each other and transparency has been a problem for both the banks and the farmers.

Banks are marketing various agricultural policies for farmers but the irony is that the farmers are not able to avail all the facilities and schemes offered by the Banks through its network of branches. We at ANPL provide certain value added services by developing a platform for banks as well as farmers so as to facilitate interaction between both the banks and the farmers through a model of Krishi Pragati Kendras.
